Adjoining Bleeding Heart Yard in Ely Place is the stunning medieval function room,The Crypt and its associated very intimate Crypt Café. The 12th Century Crypt, which seats 120 was the venue for the celebration following the wedding of Henry V111 and Catherine of Aragon.

Seven years ago Bleeding Heart opened a sister restaurant and bistro in St Swithins Lane in the heart of the City of London. Sited in the former premises of the Sandeman Port and Sherry Company, who began bottling their eponymous ports there in1798, it is called The Don in tribute to Sandeman's famed black-caped figure.

Both restaurants’ wine lists regularly win annual Awards of Excellence “for the Best Wine Lists in the World” from the top international wine magazine Wine Spectator. The Wilsons also have an award-winning vineyard, Trinity Hill in Hawkes Bay in the North Island of New Zealand (Mrs. Wilson is a New Zealander) in partnership with one of New Zealand’s top winemakers; John Hancock. Trinity Hill’s 2006 Homage Syrah won the Air New Zealand Trophy for Best New Zealand Wine.

Bleeding Heart and The Don have between them a staff of more than 150 - a large proportion of them from France -and prides itself on its warm, friendly and highly professional service.

")
